About Broadway Grand Rapids
Broadway Grand Rapids was established in September of 1988 and opened the first season with South Pacific, starring Robert Goulet. Our mission is to bring the very best of national touring Broadway productions to Grand Rapids. The Broadway series, sponsored since 2010 by Fifth Third Bank, has included nearly every major title to hit the stage from Les Misérables and Phantom of the Opera to Wicked and Hamilton. The audiences attracted by this top-notch programming become an economic catalyst for the community not just at the theater but at area restaurants, hotels, and other cultural venues. BGR leverages access to performances and performers in order to create educational opportunities for students at schools and colleges and to create unique back-stage opportunities for service clubs and other area organizations. All Broadway Grand Rapids presentations take place in DeVos Performance Hall located conveniently in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids. In 2019, Broadway Grand Rapids entered into a partnership agreement with Broadway Across America, a relationship that enhances the opportunity to present the most current shows from New York to Grand Rapids. We appreciate your investment in continuing the vibrancy, the optimism and the excitement of Broadway theater and helping to make Grand Rapids a destination city full of cultural opportunities. The entire staff at Broadway Grand Rapids shares the same commitment to bring you world-renowned theater entertainment AND first-class service. We would not be able to fulfill that promise without your support.
