When is HAMILTON coming to DeVos Performance Hall?
January 21-Feb 9, 2020


When do tickets go on sale?
The public on sale for the Broadway Grand Rapids engagement of HAMILTON at DeVos Performance Hall will take place on Thursday, November 7, beginning at 10 AM ET online or 8 AM in person.


Where can I purchase tickets?
Online: Ticketmaster.com
In Person: DeVos Place Grand Gallery Box Office, 303 Monroe Ave NW, Grand Rapids, MI beginning at 8 AM Thursday, November 7.
No phone orders will be taken on Thursday, November 7 or Friday, November, 8.
If you purchase tickets from any other source, we cannot guarantee your seats.


What is the ticket limit?
There is an eight (8) ticket limit per household for HAMILTON.


Why can I only purchase eight tickets?
The ticket limit is in place to allow as many people as possible the opportunity to purchase tickets for HAMILTON. Any and all transactions detected to be bots, duplicate accounts, or any action intended to purchase more than eight (8) tickets may be cancelled without notice.


I want to come in person. What do I need to know?
Tickets will go on sale in person beginning at 8 AM on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at the DeVos Place Box Office.

Those interested in purchasing in person may begin lining up at the Monroe Street entrance of the DeVos Place Grand Gallery Box Office at 6 AM.  Doors will open at 7 AM and sales will begin at 8 AM. Ticket availability is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. 

You will be given a number when you enter the building.  You must remain at DeVos Place to guarantee your place in line.  Only those with a number will be allowed to purchase tickets.  Standing in line does not guarantee you will be able to purchase tickets for your preferred date and price level. 

Our security policy will be in effect: all persons and bags are subject to search. Chairs, coolers and other large items must be returned to vehicles prior to entry.

Need to know where to park?

Patrons wishing to purchase tickets must be prepared to show a photo ID. They should also have a few dates and times in mind and be sure to talk to all attendees in their group BEFORE arrival. The best availability will likely be weekdays in the second and third week of performances.

Tickets may be purchased by cash or credit card only.  Broadway Grand Rapids gift certificates will not be accepted.  If purchasing by credit card, you will need to present your photo ID and the name must match that on the credit card you are using. If you are purchasing in cash, you will be asked to present a valid photo ID and your tickets will be held at will-call until one hour prior to your selected performance.


I want to buy online. What do I need to know?
At 10 AM ET on Thursday, November 7, 2019, tickets will go on sale to the public through Ticketmaster.com. Patrons should follow the directions on screen carefully, especially noting that refreshing the page may lose their place in line. Have a few dates and times in mind. The best availability will likely be the second and third week of performances.


I’m having trouble purchasing online. What do I need to know?

I need accessible seats for myself or a family member. What is the best way to buy?
Accessible seats will be available and clearly marked on Ticketmaster.com. You can also purchase accessible seats in person at the ticket office by mentioning it to your ticket agent.


How much will my tickets cost?
When tickets go on sale, prices will range from $69-$189, with a select number of $249 premium seats available for all performances. A $2.50 facility fee is included in the ticket price. Additional service charges will apply when ordering online. Ticket prices are subject to change without notice.


I found tickets online before the onsale date, or at prices that are ridiculously expensive! What’s going on?
Please note that Ticketmaster and the Broadway Grand Rapids/DeVos Place ticket offices are the only authorized sources for HAMILTON tickets in Grand Rapids. If you purchase tickets from any other source, we cannot guarantee your tickets are authentic and you may be denied admission or your ticket may be canceled without notice. We also cannot reprint or replace your tickets if they are lost or stolen and are unable to contact you with important information regarding weather, time, parking, security or any other updates.


I am a Season Ticket Holder. How do I secure additional tickets?
The deadline for Season Ticket Holders to purchase additional tickets was Friday, November 1. Any and all transactions detected to be bots, duplicate accounts, or any action intended to purchase more than eight (8) tickets may be cancelled without notice.


I want to purchase for a group!
Groups sales are very limited for the HAMILTON engagement and orders will only be taken for groups that have previously booked tickets with Broadway Grand Rapids.  Email sweiss@bwaygr.org to place an inquiry.

The deadline to secure a group is Monday, November 4.


Will there be a lottery?
There will be lottery seats offered for all performances. Details for the lottery will be made available closer to the engagement.


Are there any discount ticket opportunities?
There are no discounts for any tickets for HAMILTON.


What are limited view seats?
Limited view seats are in locations that may have an obstructed view of the full stage.


Will more tickets be released later?
A limited number of seats will be made available for sale closer to and during the engagement. Patrons are advised to check broadwaygrandrapids.com for seats that become available.


Is there a wait list for tickets?
There is no wait list for HAMILTON tickets.


What if I can’t attend the performance I purchased tickets for?
All sales for HAMILTON are final and we are unable to offer refunds or exchanges. Be sure to check all information including show title, day, date, time of performance and number of tickets before completing your purchase.


Will there be an American Sign Language and/or Open Caption performance?
Yes, the signed interpreted performance will take place Saturday, February 1 at 2 PM Tickets for these interpreted services performances must be purchased by January 2, 2020. For more information please call the Broadway Grand Rapids Box office at (616) 235-6285.


What is the running time for HAMILTON?
The running time is 2 hours and 45 minutes including intermission.


What is HAMILTON about?
HAMILTON is the story of America’s Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway, HAMILTON is the story of America then, as told by America now. 


Is there an age recommendation?
HAMILTON is recommended for ages 10+. The show contains some strong language. As with any performance, we encourage parents and guardians to do their research on content to decide what is appropriate for their child. Every patron, regardless of age, must have a ticket.


Is the original Broadway cast performing in the tour?
The Grand Rapids production of HAMILTON is part of the national tour. Casting for the tour reflects the same talent, attention to detail and high quality as the Broadway production. The Philip Tour will be visiting Grand Rapids. Read more about the cast.

What if I can’t find my tickets or they get lost in the mail?
Tickets purchased at ticketmaster.com or through the Center’s ticket office that have not been received, for any reason, including lost or stolen, will be held at Will Call under the original account-holder name, and may be picked up only by the original account-holder with a valid photo ID beginning one hour prior to the ticketed performance only. No exceptions.


Warning about unofficial ticket sellers:
The ONLY OFFICIAL website for purchasing tickets to HAMILTON at DeVos Performance Hall is Ticketmaster.com. We encourage patrons to type in broadwaygrandrapids.com or ticketmaster.com to their browser instead of using a search engine, which may pull up unofficial results. If you purchase tickets from a ticket broker or any third-party seller, the Center cannot guarantee that your tickets are valid, and you may be denied admission to the performance. We cannot reprint or replace your tickets if they are lost or stolen. We are unable to contact you with information regarding time changes or other pertinent updates regarding the performance. It is quite likely that you are paying excessive broker fees that are often double or triple the face value of the ticket.


Warning about unofficial Facebook events:
Fraudulent Facebook events may be created in order to push purchasers to a third-party website. Also check the weblink is Ticketmaster.com, spelled correctly, before purchasing. All OFFICIAL Facebook events at Broadway Grand Rapids will begin with a disclaimer paragraph that reads: This is the official event page for HAMILTON at Broadway Grand Rapids in January-February 2020.
